Hunting Together RPG Extra Passives: Where to Equip and the Limit

Last updated:

Passives from a level-99 class are equipped through the Extra interface, which holds up to six passive skills. Here is how the unlock works and where those passives come from.

Quick answer

You equip passives from a level-99 class through the Extra interface, and that interface has room for up to six passive skills.

  • The Extra interface becomes available once at least one of your classes has reached the level cap of 99.

Unlocking Extra: one class at 99 is enough

The requirement is reaching the level cap of 99 on any class. It does not have to be the class you intend to keep playing, and you do not need to max several classes before the system opens. Once that threshold is met, the Extra Passive System is unlocked for your character.

If you are still working toward that level, the class leveling and progression guides cover the climb; the important thing for Extra is simply that a class reaches 99.

What happens when you switch to a level 1 class

The Extra system exists so that maxing a class is not a dead end. When you switch to another class at level 1, you keep access to the passive skills of your level-99 class. Your new class still starts from level 1 with its own kit, but the passives earned on the maxed role remain available to you through Extra. In practical terms, Extra is the bridge between a class you finished and the next class you want to try — see the how-to-change-class guide if you are planning the switch.

Where the passives in the slots come from

The passives you can place in Extra come from classes you have brought to level 99. Each maxed class contributes its own passives to that pool, and everything you can choose from shares the same six-slot limit in the Extra interface — the cap is six passive skills in total, not six per class.

The source gives two concrete examples of what those passives look like:

  • Assassin: passives for dodge rate and movement speed bonuses.
  • Hunter: a passive that boosts critical damage.

So a level-99 Assassin leaves you with dodge and movement passives you can carry onto another class, while a level-99 Hunter leaves a critical damage passive. If you have maxed more than one class, the six slots draw from the passives unlocked across all of them, and you decide which of those fit the six available places. The skills and passives page covers how passives work on the class side.

How Extra fits with the other power paths

Hunting Together RPG lists three ways character power scales: weapon refinement, card collection, and the level 99 Extra system. Extra is the one that comes from class levels rather than from your gear, which makes it a natural companion to the other two rather than a replacement for them.

  • Weapon refinement uses refine ores found from monster drops. On a +9 to +10 attempt, a failure downgrades the weapon to +8 unless a protection stone is used, which keeps it at +9. The refining guide walks through that risk.
  • Monster cards slot into equipment and grant flat attack, agility, or percentage damage increases. Equipping duplicate cards is restricted, and collecting every card in a zone unlocks permanent Adventure Book bonuses such as extra physical and magic attack. See the monster cards guide for the collection side.
  • Extra passives come from bringing classes to 99, and they stay with you after you move to a new class.

That difference matters when you plan a class switch: leveling a class to 99 before switching is what stocks the Extra pool, so the passives you unlocked travel with you. If you are deciding what to level next, the classes overview and the stats and builds page help you think about which passives are worth chasing, while the beginner guide covers the wider early-game loop.
