Hunting Together RPG Auto Skill Settings: Cast Order, Potions and Buffs

Last updated:

Choose which skills Auto Battle casts, set their casting order, and automate recovery potions and buff item renewal in Hunting Together RPG.

Quick answer

Skills, recovery potions and buff items are three separate settings in Auto Battle. For skills, find the skill row near the bottom: check every skill you want automatic combat to cast, then drag the icons into your preferred casting order. Recovery potions use the gear beside the bottom potion bar, and buff renewal uses Boost Items under the sword-button gear.

  • Skills: checkboxes enable a skill; icon order sets the casting order. Pick your lineup first, then arrange it.
  • Recovery potions: each supply has its own percentage threshold, e.g. red potion below 50% and blue potion below 30% — example values, not required settings.
  • Buff renewal: check ASPD I, ASPD II, ASPD III, EXP or Drop to reuse them when their effects expire, and select one elemental imbue: fire, water, wind or earth.

Auto Battle only casts the skills and uses the items you have configured it to use. Keep the recovery potions and buff items you plan to use in your inventory before a hunt — none of the item automation works from an empty bag.

Choose the skills Auto Battle casts

Open Auto Battle settings and find the skill row near the bottom of the menu. Setup happens in two actions on that row, and they do different jobs:

  1. Check each skill you want automatic combat to use. The checkboxes decide which skills are enabled. A skill you leave unchecked is not part of automatic combat at all, no matter where its icon sits.
  2. Drag the skill icons into your preferred casting order. The order the icons sit in is the order Auto Battle casts them.

Because the checkboxes and the icon order control different things, choose your lineup first and arrange it second. Checking a skill only turns it on — it does not place the skill where you want it in the rotation, and dragging icons never enables a disabled skill. Decide what belongs in automatic combat, then order it.

The settings menu itself only toggles and sorts skills; it does not explain them. When you are weighing whether a skill deserves a slot, the Hunting Together RPG skills and passives guide covers the details this menu leaves out: individual skill effects, SP costs, level conditions and upgrade controls.

Keep the right consumables in your inventory

Auto Battle can only use what you carry. Keep the consumables you want it to use — recovery potions and the buff items you plan to renew — in your inventory before a hunt.

Recovery potions and buff items are not one combined setting. They live in separate menus with different triggers, so each half needs its own configuration.

Set automatic recovery potions

Open the gear beside the bottom potion bar to reach the recovery-potion settings. Recovery supplies follow percentage thresholds: you set a percentage for a supply, and Auto Battle uses that supply once the threshold is met.

For example, one configuration uses the red potion below 50% and the blue potion below 30%. Those numbers are an example, not required settings — the useful part of the example is that each supply gets its own threshold, so your two potions do not have to share a value. Set each one where you want it.

Renew buff items automatically

Buff renewal lives in a different menu. Open the sword-button gear and find Boost Items. The options include ASPD I, ASPD II, ASPD III, EXP and Drop; check each item you want renewed automatically when its effect expires. Selecting EXP or Drop enables automatic reuse of the corresponding buff item whenever its buff ends, so an experience or drop boost keeps running through the hunt without being reapplied by hand. As with potions, renewal draws on your inventory — the corresponding buff item has to be available to use.

Elemental imbues are part of the same options. Select only one of fire, water, wind or earth, and the selected imbue can also renew when its effect ends.

Decide renewal buff by buff. Automatic renewal is for buffs you intend to keep consuming throughout the hunt; a boost you would rather spend sparingly can be left unchecked. What you keep renewing is ultimately a supply decision: the Hunting Together RPG potions guide covers potion prices, effects and supply choices, while buying elemental scrolls and setting up their automatic use is covered in the weapon imbue guide.
