Hunting Together RPG Forest Guide: Early Zones and the Gorilla King Gate
An early player belongs in the level 1 to 8 starting forest, where rabbits and low-level beasts live. From there the route runs through the level 9 to 16 second wilderness zone and the level 17 to 24 transition zone to the level 25 Gorilla King gate, which opens the first town.
Quick answer
The starting forest is the level 1 to 8 zone and the one that fits an early player; it contains rabbits and low-level beasts. The way onward continues through the level 9 to 16 second wilderness zone and the level 17 to 24 transition zone, then past the level 25 Gorilla King boss gate that opens the first town and its surrounding fields.

Forest and early zones at a glance
Progression in Hunting Together RPG is built from level-tiered zones separated by gatekeeper bosses. Each zone below covers one band, and the bands run in order from the opening forest to the first town.
| Levels | Zone | What it is known for |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 8 | Starting forest | Rabbits and low-level beasts |
| 9 to 16 | Second wilderness zone | Boars and lizards |
| 17 to 24 | Transition zone | Leads toward the first major town |
| 25 | Gorilla King boss gate | Blocks progress to the next territory until defeated |
Read the table from the top: if your character sits in one of these level bands, the matching zone is the one that fits, and the band above it is what comes next.
Starting forest: levels 1 to 8
The starting forest is the initial forest zone, and it covers levels 1 to 8. Its monsters are rabbits and low-level beasts, which is why it suits an early player: both the level band and the monster list point to the opening of the game rather than to anything further along the route.
Rabbits in this zone connect to a reward that goes beyond the hunt itself. Defeating 1,000 rabbits unlocks a rideable rabbit mount that increases map movement speed. The condition is 1,000 rabbit defeats, so the rabbits you meet while leveling through the starting forest are the natural way to build toward the mount. The movement speed it adds matters as your hunting starts moving between zones rather than staying in one place.
Second wilderness zone: levels 9 to 16
Once the starting forest's band ends at level 8, the next hunting field is the second wilderness zone, covering levels 9 to 16. Boars and lizards live there. It is a distinct zone with its own monster pair rather than an extension of the forest, and its level range begins exactly where the forest's range stops.
Transition zone: levels 17 to 24
The third band is the transition zone, the level 17 to 24 hunting area. Its documented role is directional: it leads toward the first major town. In the ladder, that makes it the approach to town, sitting immediately below the boss gate that controls entry.
The Gorilla King gate at level 25
The Gorilla King is a level 25 boss gate. It blocks progress to the next territory, and defeating it clears the gate so you can enter the town and its surrounding fields. That is what unlocks the way onward for an early player: the transition zone takes you toward the town, and the Gorilla King fight is the step that actually opens the way in.
The Gorilla King also shows the general pattern of the game. Zones are separated by gatekeeper bosses, so a level band tells you where you are in the ladder, but the boss at the end of a stretch is what separates one territory from the next. The bosses guide covers the game's boss fights; the Gorilla King is the gate documented at this point in the early route.
What each zone adds to the hunt
Every monster in the game drops a card, with drop rates ranging from 0.1% to 1%. Cards slot into equipment to grant flat attack, agility, or percentage damage increases, and equipping duplicate cards is restricted. Separately, collecting all monster cards in a zone unlocks permanent bonus stats in your Adventure Book, such as extra physical attack and magic attack.
That gives the early zones two layers. The zone you are leveling in is also the zone whose card set you are filling, and the two uses are different: individual cards go into equipment, while completing the zone's full set is what turns the collection into a permanent Adventure Book bonus. Because the drop rates sit in a low range, a full zone set is a longer project than a single pass through the level band. The monster cards guide goes into the collection rules, and the equipment guide covers where slotted cards go.
Where this fits in the wider progression
If you are planning further than a single zone, the route leaves the early ladder through the Gorilla King gate and into the town's fields. The beginner guide covers the systems the early zones feed into, the unlock areas page handles how access opens up, and the locations guide maps the places beyond this stretch.
