Hunting Together RPG Potions Guide: What Every Potion Does
All potion types in Hunting Together RPG explained: EXP Potions for faster leveling, Drop Potions for better loot, recovery potions in auto battle, plus the codes that award them.
Hunting Together RPG, the Roblox monster-hunting MMORPG, uses potions for two very different jobs: boost potions that make leveling and looting move faster, and recovery supplies that keep your character going through long hunts. This guide lists the potion types in the game, explains what each one does, shows where the boost potions come from, and covers how to set up recovery potions for auto battle.
Quick answer
Three potion types exist in Hunting Together RPG: EXP Potions speed up the time it takes to reach higher levels, Drop Potions raise the odds of better loot from the monsters you defeat, and recovery potions keep you fighting from the potion bar. EXP and Drop Potions are handed out through in-game codes such as HALLOWEEN and BETATESTER.
- EXP Potions: faster progress toward higher levels
- Drop Potions: better loot odds for refining gear and completing your card collection
- Recovery potions: kept in your inventory and used automatically in auto battle at the percentage thresholds you set
The three potion types
Potion types at a glance
| Potion | What it does | How you get or set it up |
|---|---|---|
| EXP Potion | Speeds up the time it takes to reach higher levels | Claimed from in-game codes |
| Drop Potion | Raises the odds of better loot from the monsters you defeat | Claimed from in-game codes |
| Recovery potions | Recover your character during battle | Kept in your inventory and configured through the gear beside the bottom potion bar |
EXP Potions: faster leveling
EXP Potions speed up the time it takes to reach higher levels. That matters most when you have a level target in front of you: during the beta test, reaching Lv.99 awarded the Beta Tester title, a reward that stays after the official launch, so the boost fed straight into something permanent. They are just as handy for ordinary climbing, because extra potions early let you push a class up quickly, then try a different class and see which one fits your style before committing to the long grind. If you are still deciding what to play, the best class breakdown compares the options, and the leveling guide covers the rest of your progression.
Drop Potions: better loot from the same monsters
Drop Potions raise the odds of better loot from the monsters you defeat. That feeds two long grinds: refining stronger gear and filling out your card collection. Because the boost applies to the monsters you are defeating anyway, a Drop Potion makes the farming you were going to do anyway more rewarding, helping you work toward stronger refined gear and a fuller card collection without repeating the same zone for hours. The refining guide and the monster cards guide cover both of those systems in detail.
How to get potions from codes
EXP and Drop Potions are handed out through codes, and the two codes on record both deliver the same reward, 3 EXP Potions and 3 Drop Potions each:
- HALLOWEEN — 3 EXP Potions and 3 Drop Potions. Listed in the developer's Halloween update announcement.
- BETATESTER — 3 EXP Potions and 3 Drop Potions. The code from the beta test, recorded with the same reward in third-party codes lists.
Claiming a code takes a moment:
- Click the icon with the code label on the right side of the screen to open the Codes menu.
- Type the code into the field, for example HALLOWEEN.
- Click redeem at the bottom of the menu.
When a code goes through, the potions are credited on the spot; the Halloween code, redeemed through this exact flow during the Halloween event, was accepted and delivered its potions immediately. Codes arrive with updates and events, and the developers point players to their Discord for new ones, so it pays to check the current codes list now and then to catch the next free boost.
Recovery potions and the potion bar
Recovery potions work differently from the two boost potions: they are battle supplies rather than progression boosts. Keep the consumables you actually want to use in your inventory, and note that recovery potions and buff items use separate settings and different triggers on the potion bar, so setting up one does not set up the other.
To automate recovery during auto battle, open the gear beside the bottom potion bar to reach the recovery-potion settings. Recovery supplies follow percentage thresholds: each potion gets a percentage, and the game uses it once that condition is met. For example, a configuration can trigger the red potion below 50% and the blue potion below 30%; those numbers are an example rather than required settings, so pick thresholds you are comfortable with for your own hunts. The auto battle guide walks through the settings that surround this system.
When potions matter most
Potions do their best work early and in the big fights. A starter stock from codes lets you experiment across classes while your first levels move faster, and potions help during group boss fights where the boss has a lot of health and everyone needs to stay strong; the bosses guide and party guide cover those fights. And because EXP and Drop Potions are known to arrive through codes, checking the codes list now and then is what keeps the supply coming.
