Hunting Together RPG Auto Battle Targets: Hunt Only the Monsters You Choose

Last updated:

Open the Auto Battle gear menu, uncheck unwanted monsters in your current area's target list, adjust range and movement, then switch Auto Battle on to hunt only your chosen targets.

Quick answer

Auto Battle is set to pursue only the monsters you leave checked in the Monster Selection list for your current area. Open the gear menu beside the sword-shaped Auto Battle button, untick unwanted monsters — or clear the list and re-check just your targets — turn off any Leader-type, Mini-Boss or Boss category you do not want it to chase, then close the menu with Auto Battle enabled.

  • The target list belongs to the area you are standing in: set it where you plan to hunt, and reopen the gear menu when you move.
  • The per-type checkboxes and the Leader-type, Mini-Boss and Boss switches are separate layers, so check both before closing the menu.
  • A checked monster must also be inside the configured range circle before Auto Battle will pursue it.

Open the Auto Battle target settings

The Auto Battle gear is the small icon beside the sword-shaped Auto Battle button at the bottom of the screen. The panel it opens is where the whole hunt is configured: target selection sits alongside loot filters, range and movement controls, skill order and Boost Items, so you can set the character's behavior in one place before closing the menu.

Within that panel, the Monster Selection section — the current area's target list — is the part that decides which monster types Auto Battle goes after.

Uncheck the monsters you do not want

In the target list, check the monsters you want to fight and uncheck unwanted targets. When you want to rebuild the list from scratch, the select-all and clear controls change the whole list quickly: clear it, then tick only the types you want. That is the direct fix for unwanted pulls, because a monster that is not checked is not one of the targets Auto Battle is set to pursue.

The list is tied to where you are standing. Monster Selection choices are limited to the monsters in your current zone, so the list you are editing belongs to the area you are currently in. Set it while you are in the area you plan to farm, and reopen the gear menu when you begin hunting somewhere else.

Switch Leader-types, Mini-Bosses and bosses on or off separately

Targeting is not only per monster type. Leader-type monsters, Mini-Bosses and standard Bosses each have their own toggle that can be enabled or disabled independently of the per-type checkboxes. If you want to farm ordinary monsters without the character heading for a Leader-type or a boss, leave those categories disabled; if you want boss hunting, enable the category you need. Because the category switches and the per-type list are separate, check both — a per-type list that looks right can still leave a category enabled.

Set the range so your chosen targets are inside the circle

A checked monster still has to be within the configured radius for Auto Battle to pursue it. The distance and range slider adjusts the targeting radius circle and runs from 20 to 150. The movement buttons beneath it decide whether that circle follows the character or stays centered on a spot:

Movement optionBehaviorWhen to choose it
Free movement ("Roam and Fight")The range circle moves with your character. When you want to move through an area while fighting selected targets.
Fixed position ("Position")The character hunts around the set position, pursuing enemies there and returning to the center if pushed outside. When you want to keep hunting around one spot.

Two example setups: free movement with a range of 150 suits broad roaming, while fixed position with a range of 30 suits a smaller hunting area. These are examples rather than requirements, so choose the range that covers where your chosen monsters actually are.

The ground range circle has its own display toggle. Turn it on to see the area while adjusting the target and range setup, or hide it independently.

Finish the setup and switch Auto Battle on

Target selection is one part of the panel. After the targets are set, choose the range and movement mode, then configure pickup, skills and supplies to match the hunt. When you are ready, enable the main Auto Battle switch and close the menu; the character then begins automatic pursuit and combat against the targets you left checked. The auto pickup settings and auto skill settings pages cover those companion controls, while the Auto Battle guide covers activation and the surrounding global options.

Before you leave the menu

Checklist

  • The Monster Selection list contains only the monster types you want
  • Leader-type, Mini-Boss and Boss categories are set the way you intend
  • The range circle reaches the ground where those monsters appear
  • The main Auto Battle switch is on and the menu is closed

If Auto Battle still heads for something you did not pick, reopen the gear menu and recheck both layers of targeting: the per-type list and the category switches. The target list belongs to the current area, so confirm it in the zone where the character is hunting.
