Hunting Together RPG Pets Guide: How to Get and Equip a Pet
Little Turtle is the free pet in Hunting Together. During the Beta reward period, claim the Lv.1 Beta Test reward, equip it from the Pets menu, and learn what each documented pet does.
Quick answer
Little Turtle is the free pet in Hunting Together: during the Beta reward period, claim it as the Lv.1 Beta Test reward, then equip it from the Pets menu. Once equipped, it follows you on the ground and collects items.
How to get and equip Little Turtle
Little Turtle is the pet the catalog lists as free, with item collection as its role and the Beta Test level reward as its source. Claiming and equipping are two different steps, and both are needed. The Beta Test reward panel is where the pet is granted to your account; Pets is where you put it on your character. A reward that is claimed but never equipped does not follow you.
Checklist
- During the Beta reward period, like the game and follow RonB Games
The reward is gated on social requirements: like Hunting Together and follow the RonB Games group.
- Find Ron in town
Ron stands beside the gift pile and red carpet. Look for his wide yellow hat and blue overalls.
- Open the Beta Test reward panel
Check that the social requirements are met and read Little Turtle's claim status there.
- Claim the Lv.1 reward
Claim Little Turtle once the panel shows you are eligible.
- Equip it from the Pets menu
Open Pets and equip Little Turtle. This is the step that puts the pet on your character.
- Confirm it is working
An equipped Little Turtle follows you on the ground and collects items.
If the panel already shows Little Turtle as claimed, nothing is missing from your account: go straight to Pets and equip it. Equipping is the step that makes the pet appear and start collecting.
What pets do in Hunting Together
The practical job of a pet is pickup. Pets assist by automatically collecting dropped items over a wide radius, and within the catalog item collection is the role recorded for Little Turtle. Once equipped, the turtle travels with you on the ground as a small block-shaped turtle with a green shell and pale green limbs, and drops inside that radius are collected for you instead of being walked over one at a time.
The two other documented companions behave differently. Lumi Fairy and Fairy are listed as floating companion pets rather than item collectors. Lumi Fairy floats beside you and follows your movement; Fairy floats near you while you move through town and hunting areas. Their entries describe appearance and following behavior but do not list a free-pet or equip field, so the catalog records no claim route for them of the kind it records for Little Turtle.

Pets are not mounts
Pets and mounts sit near each other in the field guide, but they do different things. Fairy companions follow your character, while the rabbit-shaped mount carries you through outdoor areas. A pet travels with you on foot or floats alongside, and the mount is what carries you. The catalog keeps them as separate entries, so an equipped pet and a mount are separate parts of your setup rather than one replacing the other.
Limited Ice Cat and the three-class Beta goal
Limited Ice Cat is the other pet with a documented acquisition route, and unlike Little Turtle it is not claimed in town. The goal is to reach Lv.99 on three separate classes during Beta. Completing it earns eligibility, but the pet is awarded at official launch, not the moment your third class reaches Lv.99, so a finished goal does not immediately put the cat in your Pets menu. Expect the reward to arrive with the launch rather than as a panel claim to collect right away.
Limited Ice Cat carries over to the official launch. Under the Beta reward policy it is exclusive to that Beta goal, with no later sale or other acquisition route planned. The sources also call it Ice Cat; both names describe the same reward, so a reference to Ice Cat is not a different pet.
If you are building toward the goal, the Hunting Together RPG class leveling guide covers leveling each class, and the Hunting Together RPG progression guide covers the wider growth track around it.
Toggling Auto Open Boxes

Pets also have a box-opening skill, and it is a toggle for a skill you already own rather than something you acquire by equipping a pet. If you already have Auto Open Boxes, enable it and your pet opens nearby Hard Worker Boxes. Open the Pet window and set the box-opening skill to ON to enable it or OFF to disable it. That window is the place the skill is switched, so a pet that is not opening anything is worth checking there first.
The name is easy to confuse with the store listing. Auto Open Boxes is not for sale; Pet Skill: Open Box, priced at 89 Robux, is a separate product listing. Those are two distinct entries, so the Robux product called Pet Skill: Open Box is not the same thing as the Auto Open Boxes toggle in the Pet window.
